By facilitating this process for its customers, Orange Wholesale France actively contributes to the recovery of equipment, accelerating the reduction of its environmental impact.
Concrete results, but still challenges ahead
For several years now, Orange Wholesale France has been collecting around 8 tonnes of equipment a year, 5 tonnes of which is recycled with the support of Ecologic, enabling 60% of the equipment to be recovered. Through this scheme, every 1,000 pieces of reconditioned equipment save 30 tonnes of CO₂, a strong gesture for the environment.
However, there is still room for improvement. To reinforce its impact, Orange Wholesale France has set itself an ambitious target: to reach 90% of equipment collected by the end of 2025. To achieve this, the challenge is to increase the collection of end-customer access, in partnership with operators, in order to maximize the recovery of equipment at the end of the contract.
